Portable 4-stroke timber sleeper drilling machine SD-4P

The portable timber sleeper drilling machine SD-4P have been specifically designed for use in Railway applications, to provide a consistent and accurate hole, in all types of weather conditions. The machine is equipped with a single-cylinder 4-stroke engine and a centrifugal clutch. The spindle is stationary when idling. The speed is controlled with the throttle lever. Shock absorbers are mounted between the spindle and shaft, in order to reduce the vibrations for the operator. The handles can be adjusted through 90°, in order to attain an optimum working position.

A graduated scale on the fi xed guard enables the desired hole depth to be set, which automatically stops the travel of the auger. A drilling range up to 20 mm borehole diameter can be reached using the guide tip provided. Larger hole diameters can be drilled with the TPM220-26 guide tip available as an accessory.

The drilling machine can be used independently or in conjunction with the support trolley CS-SD.
